About Me

I'm afarid that I do not have any photographs of myself  on my computer at the moment. and I am sorry to say that I am not completely computer literate. Perhaps one of the other members will be kind enough to sort it out for me.

Unlike Judy, Rachel and Sue, I have only been writing creatively for about ten years, when I became a member of the Lampeter Writers Workshop and since then have I have become a member of  two other  writing groups, Cwrtnewydd Scribblers being the one nearest home.

When Kathy Miles of L.W.W. asked me if I would read some of my poems at the  Lampeter Festival I had only been a member of the group for less than 2 years and it was a moment I will never forget. I felt that I was now a recognised poet. But I still have a lot to learn.

My other interests include making home made wine, spinning and peg looming. I learnt to spin about 15 years ago and I spin every day. I was living on a smallholding with my husband and  the five bottle lambs that I'd been given grew into 42 sheep. It was the eldest of my two daughters who suggested that I might like to learn to spin. The idea of making my own wool appealed.  It took a weekend to learn the craft and after 15years I'm still hopefully perfecting it.

Now we live in a small cottage that really is not big enough to swing a cat in.

As well as two daughters and their partners, I have two grandsons.

I have been published in two Lampeter Women's Workshop and one Poets and Peasants Anthologies.

About Me

Hi all,

I work full time for Cardiff Council.  I chair the DisAbility Network for all staff at the Council on a voluntary basis.  I did a Distance Learning Course on Creative Writing.  The course did not lead to a qualification just a certificate at the end of the course.  I love learning more tecnniques etc. I have recently started to teach myself to write poetry.  I enjoy writing short stories.  I recently attended a one day course in Newport on Journalling.  Gave me lots of ideas and food for thought.

I love reading from my Kindle, enjoy curries, cinema.

I live with my partner.

About Me

Wendy Steele lives in Essex but dreams of a new life up a mountain in Wales.

She worked in the City, BC (Before Children) but since 1999 has indulged her creative side, training in natural therapies, belly dance and writing. Publication of dance articles led to writing courses and summer school, producing her first novel 'Destiny of Angels – First book in the Lilith Trilogy.'

In 2012 she published her first non-fiction title ' Wendy Woo's Year – A Pocketful of Smiles', as well as two short story anthologies and an erotic accompaniment to the Lilith Trilogy 'Too Hot for Angels'.

Wendy lives with her partner, Mike, three growing children and three cats. She says her favourite days are those spent as a human being, as opposed to a human 'doing'.
